With them you can describe either a location (where something is) or a destination (where to something is being moved). In Karin&#8217;s description of her living room and bathroom, you already encountered some examples that describe a location: <em>\u00fcber dem Spiegelschrank<\/em>, <em>neben dem Waschbecken<\/em>, <em>vor dem Sofa<\/em> und <em>auf dem Teppich<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The following prepositions are two-way prepositions: an, auf, hinter, in, neben, \u00fcber, unter, vor, zwischen.<\/p>\n<p>The sentences below give you an examples of the dative case of the various genders and singular and plural. Remember that dative is used after the preposition when the location of an object is described.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Pl<\/strong>: Wo stehen die Pflanzen?
