There are a variety of hiking and biking paths throughout Europe and they are popular as longer vacation destinations and day-trips. Read the following text opportunities in one of Austria’s wine regions, and answer the questions.

Sie wollen im Urlaub sportlich aktiv sein und auch die Spezialitäten von Österreich genießen? Die drei Regionen von Lipizzanerheimat, Schilcherland und Südsteiermark bilden zusammen eine wunderbare Urlaubsregion.

Verbs with prefixes and Modal Verbs

As you learned in the lesson, when using a separable prefix verb and a modal verb, the prefix gets reunited with its verb at the end of the sentence.

Joan mentioned that she likes to do Wellnessurlaube but that she has also been to a Kur.  What is the difference?

Wellnessurlaub is a spa vacation. Kur is prescribed by a doctor and often involves rehabilitation. It can be prescribed for a number of illnesses and is typically covered by health insurance. Take a look at the activity below and decide which activities you do at a Kur and which on a Wellnessurlaub.
